Margaret Porter is the award-winning, bestselling author of fifteen historical novels in various subgenres and two English -set contemporary romances, A Change of Location and its follow-up Sequins and Starlight. Recent historical works include The Myrtle Wand, The Limits of Limelight, and Beautiful Invention: A Novel of Hedy Lamarr. She studied British history in the U.K., which inspires and informs her fiction and her travels, and she regularly returns to conduct research for her fact-based novels. A former stage actress, she also works in film, television, and radio. When not writing, she tends her extensive rose gardens, sits by the lakeside letting her imagination roam, exercises her dog, or plays her mandolin.
