I'm Marcus Engel, an author, keynote speaker, consultant and professor. Most everything I do professionally revolves around healthcare communication and increasing humanity in clinical settings. There’s also a bunch of overcoming adversity, motivation and communication skills in these books. I strive to share every emotion, no matter how difficult, with my readers. Oh, and if you want the generic author bio deets, well, here ya go: I hold a B.S in Sociology from Missouri State University and a Master’s in Narrative Medicine from Columbia University in NYC (my favorite city in America!) And I’m an adjunct professor at University of Notre Dame teaching pre meds the art of “being with.” When I’m not on the road speaking, I’m usually at home with my family. My wife, Marvelyne, (also known as The Hotness on social media) and I have been married since 2007…she also happens to be my editor. When not writing or travelling, I enjoy playing acoustic guitar, reading and hanging out with my family.
