Pastor Malachi Mitchell, born and raised in San Diego, has walked a remarkable journey—from acting and modeling to city service and now a powerful voice in ministry. In 1996, during one of the darkest times of his life, he experienced a spiritual awakening where God changed his name from Anthony Mitchell to Malachi—a name he’s affectionately known by today. Licensed and ordained since 1984, he has served as youth pastor and co-pastor at Good Samaritan Church of San Diego alongside his family. He also holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Christian Studies with an emphasis in Leadership from Grand Canyon University. Together with his wife Christine, he founded Life’s Word Ministry to reach, teach, and restore hope—helping families heal, empowering the broken, and inspiring lives to change through the truth of God’s Word.
