Lisa Conyers is an author who focuses on the intersection between economic policy and real-world outcomes. Her passion is explaining complex economic issues to the layman. She is the co-author of The Human Cost of Welfare; How the System Hurts the People it is Supposed to Help, and Welfare for the Rich; How Your Tax Dollars End Up in Millionaires’ Pockets and What you Can Do About It. Both books are the subjects of PBS documentaries produced by Free To Choose Network. Lisa primarily focuses on state and federal spending, providing policy analysis and recommendations for reform. She also brings her expertise to welfare, trade, and regulatory policy, and focuses on state and federal tax subsidies, zoning issues, tax and banking policy. Lisa also consults on films and documentaries on economics and free markets. Lisa has an undergraduate degree in American Studies, a master’s degree in Management, and is a paralegal. She lives on her sailboat in California.
