Lisa Caprelli is a passionate academic leader, author, speaker, and songwriter who transformed her once shy nature into a vibrant career dedicated to empowering children and communities. With a Bachelor’s in Social Psychology and over 27 years of experience in business, branding, and public relations—including representing over 150 CEOs as an entrepreneur with more than 26 years of industry expertise—she creates dynamic, engaging programs that bridge Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), and STEAM education. Drawing on her Hispanic heritage, Lisa has authored 22 inspiring books in both English and Spanish. Among these, her beloved “Unicorn Jazz” series—blending storytelling, music, puppets, and joy—has become a favorite for educators and children alike. This series encapsulates her commitment to promoting kindness, belonging, creativity, teamwork, and resilience while fostering literacy and STEM skills. Lisa’s journey is not just about creating content; it’s about making a real difference. Since 2020, she has donated over 10,000 books to children’s charities and hospitals, and her Inspire-Ed school author visit program has reached over 800,000 students. Her book “SKIP A STEP,” which shares entrepreneurial stories, sparked the creation of Unicorn Jazz and continues to drive her mission of edutainment—nurturing both emotional and intellectual growth. Her innovative approach extends beyond the pages. During the pandemic, Lisa leveraged technology with her TV show, “The Thing I Do,” where puppets, storytelling, music, and engaging lessons provided a much-needed boost to teachers and students. Her programs have been highlighted in news outlets and celebrated by school principals and teachers for their transformative impact on classroom dynamics. Lisa’s work is deeply community-focused. She partners with PTAs to plan all-inclusive fundraisers and school events that are as fun as they are educational.
