Katie R. Dale is no stranger to the storms of Serious Mental Illness. Blindsided by an intense episode of bipolar disorder at 16, she has come a long way. Katie has written a memoir on her psych hospitalizations and how God helped her heal, and has served in clinical roles in case management. She speaks and advocates for treatment and justice for those with SMI, and writes for public reform and revolution. She is the Coordinator of the National Shattering Silence Coalition and chairs the board of Delight in Disorder Ministries. Her passion is to follow her calling as wife to her active duty USAF husband Chris, mother to sweet and sassy Kylie, and friend to "the least of these".
