Katherine Pathak was born in Inverness, Scotland in 1974. Her family subsequently moved to Essex where she spent her childhood. Katherine graduated from the University of York with a degree in History in 1996. She then worked in the book trade in London for several years before gaining her teaching qualification at the Institute of Education in 2000. She taught History in a number of secondary schools before deciding to become a full-time author of crime fiction. Katherine Pathak has just released the sixth novel in the Imogen and Hugh Croft Mysteries series: 'The Ghost of Marchmont Hall'. There is also a new release 'quick read' in the Imogen and Hugh series called 'Mystery at Christmas Cottage'. These books are psychological mysteries with a dash of romantic suspense as husband and wife sleuths Imogen and Hugh take on a series of clever and complex cases. There are also five books currently available featuring Scottish detective DCI Dani Bevan, who was introduced in 'Memorial For The Dead'. This series are fast paced police procedurals.
