Mr. Kari Kakkonen has released the Dragons Out! book that is a software testing book for children and adults. Check the progress of the book project website at www.dragonsout.com! Kari is also a co-author of Agile Testing Foundations book. Mr. Kari Kakkonen has M.Sc. in Industrial Management with Minor in Information Technology from Aalto University (aalto.fi). He has also studied in University of Wisconsin-Madison (wisc.edu) in United States. He has ISTQB Expert Level Test Management Full, ISTQB Agile Tester, Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist and DASA DevOps certificates, and works mostly with agile testing, lean, test automation and DevOps. He has been working with testing tool implementations, software development and testing processes, software development and testing projects, consulting, and training since 1996. He has worked for various industries, including banking, telecom, embedded software, public sector, commerce. Kari Kakkonen is working in Finland at Knowit (knowit.fi), which is a Nordic ICT services company well-known for testing consultancy and software development, and other innovative ICT related services. He is one of the most sought for agile testing trainers and consultants in Finland and abroad, and has particular skill in getting his audience to understand the software testing concepts and getting people inspired to thrive for better in their work. Kari is Treasurer of Finnish Software Testing Board FiSTB (fistb.fi), ISTQB Executive Committee memberf 2015-2021 (istqb.org), Board of Directors of TMMi, board member of Finnish Association of Software Testers (testausosy.fi), former auditor of Robot Framework Foundation (robotframework.org/foundation), and member of Agile Finland (agile.fi). He has been included in Finnish IT Week (Tietoviikko) –magazine’s 100 most influential people in IT 2010 –listing. Kari sings in Drambuie Singing Group, paddles with sea kayak and chairs the kayaking club Drumsö Kanotister and snowboards away in Finnish hills and the Alps. Kari is happily married with one son.
