I am Jude LaHaye. For years, I used my day job as an excuse for not writing. I got over that by retiring. It took me almost three years to finish my first novel, Chance. It was hard. I used this as an excuse to procrastinate. After Chance, I didn't write another word for months. What I realized after finally beginning my second novel was this: getting the first one out of the way broke a log jam. Now I write and write and write. I have four new novels underway, and now my problem is which one to pick up to add to, to edit, to delete and restart - you get it, I think. I will eventually find that middle ground. The ground where I just jot down ideas for future works while I pursue constructing one single novel at a time. I am certainly not there yet - I'm having fun! There will be time for discipline later! I have a central theme: I attempt to explore buddhist concepts as they might apply to modern or future life. Human life. Buddhists believe that man is god; that humanity, all humanity, without exception, is worthy of the ultimate respect; that people have buddhahood within them, waiting to be called forth. And now, four years into my writing career, I have won an Honorable Mention in the 2018 Writer's Digest Competition! Curious? Please, by all means, give my works a try!
