Twelve years after the loss of his firstborn son, Joshua Burleson set out to create a children's book designed to help open a dialogue about the loss of a loved one. Late one restless night, Joshua used his older brother's lion to comfort his youngest son back to sleep and the idea for "My Brother's Lion" was born. As a result of posting a few concept ideas on social media, he was flooded with requests to publish an actual children's book. After years of writing, illustrating and running a successful Kickstarter, "My Brother's Lion" was self-published and has been assisting hurting families all over the world.
