Greetings and welcome to my Amazon author page! I am a clinical psychologist, author, and international speaker, specializing in the areas of happiness and well-being. My work focuses on helping individuals and organizations prosper in life, love, and work. To do so, I utilize cutting-edge approaches including positive psychology, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and mindfulness-based practices. I have a passion for sharing these life-changing tools with a broader audience, which inspired me to write my books. My first 2 books (Real Happiness and The Happiness Toolbox) focus primarily on positive psychology and strategies for enhancing well-being. My 3rd book (Awestruck) will explore the science of awe and its importance in our lives. I hope the skills and concepts I share in these books will be as helpful for your own life as they have been in mine. Though I now live in the San Francisco Bay Area, I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. After completing my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Columbia University, I moved to California for graduate school and received my doctorate in clinical psychology at the PGSP-Stanford Psy.D. Consortium. In addition to writing, speaking, and consultation, I work at Kaiser Permanente as a clinical psychologist where I provide group and individual psychotherapy, and help manage a large mental health training program spanning 20 medical centers.
