My approach to writing is like sitting around a campfire swapping stories with old friends. And you are invited. I am always working to tell real stories about real people and real events. I have been herding words into stories for 45 years, like most writers, not because I wanted to, I had to; feeling compelled to share people’s predicaments, victories, and the unexpected humor that is inherent in the human condition. I was in business for 50 years as an entrepreneur selling services, teaching, consulting, creating, always working with the underlying ethic—one doesn’t have to cheat to win. During a decade as a photojournalist and three more decades teaching business executives, I watched the workings of my own mind and those of others, which, over my several careers became best-selling books. As a contrarian thinker, I work at separating fact from fiction and myth from reality, These nonfiction stories are typical of my good and bad luck. Sometimes even the sad stories become funny when viewed across the distance of time. Welcome to my campfire.
