Jeff Steinmann has never accepted the fact that you can’t always have what you want in life. As a kid, he thought that grown-ups got to do whatever they wanted; and at nearly 40 years of age, he has not given up that idea.
After several failed attempts at entrepreneurship, Jeff decided to give up on being an entrepreneur and his dream of a lifestyle of freedom and pursued a career in technology. Jeff quickly rose through the ranks of the technology departments of four major US Financial Institutions, ultimately managing the website conversions for some of the largest financial institution mergers in the U.S.
While he had great success in the corporate world, it simply didn’t give him the freedom he always desired. After resigning himself to the fact that he would work a corporate job until retirement, he fell into a deep depression – he had given up on having the life of freedom that he always wanted.
Never being willing to simply accept circumstances as they are, Jeff was determined to figure out how to have a lifestyle that simply allowed him to pursue life. He wanted to have an unlimited income potential and control of his day-to-day schedule. Jeff knew that a traditional business would involve too much risk and wouldn’t provide him with the daily freedom he sought.
He felt stuck because he just didn’t know how he would ever gain the independence he wanted so badly without the traditional high risk of starting a business. Quitting his job, mortgaging his house, and just hoping for the best (all while hearing that 90% of businesses fail the first year) just didn’t make a bit of sense.
So he searched high and low for a solution.
After devouring business books for two years, he finally discovered that the key to the lifestyle and success he wanted was to shift away from getting paid for what he DOES to making money from what he KNOWS. Knowledge and information can be written down, recorded, and packaged so it can be delivered without requiring his time to market, sell and deliver.
As he contemplated what expertise he could monetize, he asked himself an important question, “What do people ask you about?” The answer was clear. Jeff had rehabbed two houses and people frequently sought out his help on their Do It Yourself home improvement projects.
Jeff set out on a multi-year journey to figure out HOW to get himself KNOWN as an expert so he could package and sell his knowledge. He found hype and false promises from multi-level marketing companies, internet marketers and numerous others who claimed they had the formula, system, strategy or blueprint for making tons of money as an expert. After several false starts and many mistakes, Jeff nailed it. He finally figured out how all the pieces went together.
Along the way, Jeff became so knowledgable about the process of getting known for your knowledge that people started asking for his help. Then they started offering to pay him. Jeff knows an opportunity when he sees one, so he founded Braveau Experts. Braveau Experts partners with experts to get them known, build a following, and create products and programs.
