I grew up in a small northeast Ohio town with an Amish community. That was a great experience that taught me about tolerance and differences. My high school graduating class had 100 graduates, and three communities attended, so I was quite the country girl with just a handful of friends. I attended Ohio State, where the population was larger than the town I grew up in. I studied abroad for a summer, sponsored by Ohio State, and lived in Salzburg, Austria. The study program group traveled to Italy, Switzerland, Germany, and Lichtenstein. I loved the cows with the cowbells ringing in the pastures. The churches were like nothing I had ever seen before. Gold adorned everything imaginable and I was in total awe of the ornate and beautiful craftsmanship. I have two beautiful daughters and sons-in-law, three grandsons and one granddaughter-in-law, one great-granddaughter, and one great-grandson. Unfortunately, they live in the south and I only see them once or twice a year. I adore them all. After caregiving for my husband for 4 years, I became a widow in 2023 and that is the reason for pursuing this career of becoming an author. I have several hobbies, sewing, jewelry making, crafting for Christmas, playing the piano, which all has become difficult due to diminished eyesight
