Establishing Beyond Us, Janel provides opportunities to build confidence in women who need it most through a platform for the women of JD to share their clothes, and the stories they tell, with other women who are ready to take the next step in their careers or lives. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Janel spent more than 10 years as an organizational development consultant for technology and entertainment companies before discovering her love for brand storytelling and fashion. She is graduate of UCLA, has lived and worked in New York City, Chicago and Los Angeles, and currently resides back in the Bay with her husband and their two sons.
