Jane Rogoyska is the prize-winning author of 'Surviving Katyń', a study of the1940 Katyń Massacre which was awarded the Columbia Journalism School’s prestigious Mark Lynton History Prize 2022 and was longlisted for the RSL Ondaatje Prize. Her research into the Katyń Massacre also led to her first novel, 'Kozłowski' (longlisted for the Desmond Elliott Prize 2020), and 'Still Here: A Polish Odyssey', which she wrote and presented for BBC Radio 4. Her first book was the critically-acclaimed 'Gerda Taro: Inventing Robert Capa', the first English-language biography of the photographer Gerda Taro. She has a particular interest in the turbulent period from the 1930s to the Cold War in Europe. .
