JD Itri started his career in public accounting and worked for Ernst & Young, Andersen Tax, and Grant Thornton. He spent most of that time building Excel-based tools that were used by accountants. He also provided regular training sessions about tax and technology. He transitioned into software development as a product manager in 2015 and helped grow an organization from 10 employees to over 300. He later joined Intuit where he made it easier for Americans to prepare, file, and understand their personal income taxes using TurboTax. When he’s not working on new technology projects or writing, he stays busy playing beach volleyball, sailing his catamaran, traveling to new places, or playing the piano. Above all, JD believes that we should all be striving to make an impact for good on the world. That includes using our time, talents, and abilities to provide something that will make the lives of others better.
