Decades in the small business world, an entrepreneur, a writer, a consultant. I’m Julie Ogden. I founded Ogden Management subsequent to the release of my book More on the Bottom Line. After gaining invaluable experience from many years in the corporate world, and in my ongoing property development and rental management business, I took the time to dive into writing. Through my book and consulting practice, I share my lessons learned. I wrote the book after working for many years in a high-tech company. After nearly three decades of moving up the corporate ladder, I became the owner and ultimately sold the company, which is still thriving as of this writing. My operations experience encompassed: Administration | Business development | Facilities management Financial management | Human resource management Order fulfillment/Shipping logistics | Outsource management Precision manufacturing | Project management | Purchasing for multiple manufacturing models Sales and marketing – all activities related to supporting a worldwide customer base. Software and hardware engineering | Technical support - domestic and international The ideas and concepts in my book have been developed and tested in the real world as I steered a high-tech company through economic storms while leveraging opportunities to make the company stable and profitable. My decades of real-world experience form the basis of this toolbox of proactive and proven methods to improve your company’s bottom line. Due to the cost saving tools I employed, we drove my company’s profit to levels that exceeded industry standards. I offer a somewhat unique perspective to conquering the challenges of the business world. My position as COO, and later owner, had me playing many roles, but always with an eye on the health and profitability of the company. As I worked through each facet of our company, I found a treasure trove of profitability. Through my book and my consulting practice, I share what I have learned, and the success I have had, so that other business managers and owners can also find the profitability that may be right under their noses. My experience can help you avoid common mistakes, leverage opportunities, remove roadblocks and move your company forward. Profitability doesn’t happen without a plan.
