Ian James has been part of the UK radio and television scene for many years and his long career has seen him present shows for Independent Radio and the BBC across the UK – including Wrexham, Middlesborough, Cardiff, Liverpool and Leeds – as himself, and as his alter ego, Doctor Dance. His iconic show Glitterball for BBC Radio Leeds ranked the fourth most downloaded show on the BBC iPlayer in English Regions. For five years he was the face and voice of a well-known car supermarket on national radio and television. Prior to broadcasting, Ian had a successful career in the travel industry. He became a Caribbean specialist – a position which took him on many adventures to the islands escorting travel agents on familiarisation trips, reviewing hotels and writing brochure copy for two luxury tour operators, Caribbean Connection and Tradewinds Holidays. Ian lives in Cheshire with his partner Paul and two cats, Jess and Jack. He currently presents the morning show on Cheshire’s MIX56.
