Howard D. Stupak is an author, surgeon, inventor, parent and husband. He wrote the 2020 book Rethinking Rhinoplasty and Facial Surgery to explore the possibility that many of the causality paradigms in ENT surgery and other related are not reflective of actual nature, instead tending to favor treatment algorithms that support business models and not health. He argues for a simplified, universal perspective on facial and airway health that would benefit individuals and not industrial growth. Similarly, in the 12/24 novel Crown & Corona: An American Catastrophe, Stupak uses a drama and humor narrative to delve into the root causes of the NYC corona crisis of 2020 set in same the historical tracks of many events of a similar invasion of New York in 1776. Influenced by Catch-22 and the Last of the Mohicans, the book provides an entertaining way to watch a catastrophe unfold, until the heroes come up with a reasonable solution. Dr. Stupak has published extensively as an Associate Professor of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery in the medical academic literature with over 1000 citations. He invented a nasal device and a mandible fracture device that reached the commercial market. His main interest, including his social media profile, is attempting to influence the increasingly conformist and collectivist world into becoming one more geared towards one where the individualist might flourish, just bound by rules of decency and not oppression nor censorship. He lives in Connecticut with his wife and children, who provide the true meaning behind all of his work.
