Grace George makes her home in Iowa, where she shares her life with her husband and their dog, Blazerooni Douglas Browndog (AKA “Blazer”). She has two adult sons, two daughters-in-law and five adorable grandbabes. She graduated from a small college in south central Minnesota and uses those experiences often in her writing. She is also a graduate of The Institute of Children’s Literature in West Redding, Connecticut. Her favorite stories to write are fantasy adventures, sprinkled with a little romance and humor along the way. She admires morally strong characters who get through life using their brains, muscles, and sense of humor. She traditionally published a trilogy of fantasy novels, The Call, The Promise, and The Restoration, and they did well until the publishing company went out of business. Her books are now available on the Amazon website. In addition to writing novels, Grace has dabbled in adapting her work as screenplays and has entered those in the Page International Screenwriting Awards where she’s placed in the quarterfinals (top 300 of over 1700 scripts). She continues to refine that skill and hopes to see her work on the big screen someday! When she’s not hard at work in her writer’s cave, she has taught community education classes on writing and publishing and has spoken on those topics at schools. Her history also includes teaching high school creative writing classes and coaching high school varsity volleyball. These things continue to be passions, despite relocating to two different states since her teaching and coaching days. Those experiences still often make it into her stories. Her newest project involves working on a prequel to her Journey Series trilogy; and also a series of novella-length stories that take place on the college campus from her trilogy. Weaving the old and new characters’ lives together has been a fun and sometimes challenging job! She has also completed two novellas that take place in her fantasy world.
