Glory Edim is the founder of Well-Read Black Girl, a non-profit and literary festival that celebrates the uniqueness of Black literature and sisterhood. The organization's mission is to use storytelling as a tool for advocacy and collective empowerment. Glory has won numerous awards for her work supporting and sustaining literature, including the 2017 Innovator’s Award from the Los Angeles Times Book Prizes and the Madam C.J. Walker Award from the Hurston/Wright Foundation. Her anthologies "Well-Read Black Girl: Finding Our Stories, Discovering Ourselves" and "On Girlhood: 15 Stories from the Well-Read Black Girl Library" showcase the brilliance and universality of Black women through literature. Her memoir, "Gather Me", is an inspiring story of family, community, and resilience. Glory is also the host of the Well-Read podcast, where she interviews authors and delves into their bookshelves. She resides in Washington D.C. with her son.
