The Publishing Journey GW's journey began when one of North America's largest publishing companies published his first book. This initial experience was crucial, helping him understand the industry's processes. He then transitioned to self-publishing 22+ titles, encompassing print runs with printing companies, paperbacks on Amazon, eBooks on Kindle, and Audiobooks on Audible. This path—from traditional to complete self-control—provided a wealth of knowledge that he now shares. God did all of that. The Purpose: WRITE It OUT GW found that writing his own life challenges and difficult emotions became a process of therapeutic release and helped him find purpose. This led to the creation of the WRITE It OUT Program, which shares this vital emotional process with Firefighters, First Responders, Military, and Police Officers. Advocacy: You mean more than you know in someone's life. You have a purpose. Take a moment to breathe and relax. There is help at your fingertip; call someone or a helpline. If it can help one person, it is worth it. Tell it like it is and let it fly—there is purpose in the pain. Deaf/Hard of Hearing Advocate: Having been 98% hard of hearing until surgery in his second year of high school, GW is also a dedicated advocate for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. Why The Self-Publishing Book? After publishing several books in many different styles and sizes—including a children's book in English and Spanish—GW was constantly asked questions by aspiring authors. He realized that the overwhelming amount of information available was the biggest roadblock. This frustration was the catalyst for his book, What is STOPPING YOU from Self-Publishing? You have a book idea, now what? He created the guide to simplify the process, covering every essential detail: book size, margins, cover styles, self-publishing types, ISBNs, barcodes, copyright, domain, branding, audiobooks, and even how to turn a book into opportunities for TV, radio, podcast, or a Feature Film. His main goal is simple: Share your stories; the World is waiting on your stories. Current Project GW's true-story film project, "i am JOSIAH," is currently in progress.
