Frederica Mathewes-Green writes mostly about the arts and spirituality of the early church, and the Eastern Orthodox Church in particular. Her husband was founding pastor of Holy Cross Orthodox Church near Baltimore, and after his retirement they moved to the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. They have three children and 15 grandchildren. In addition to 11 books, Frederica has published over 800 articles and opinion pieces, including regular commentary for NPR's All Things Considered, the Los Angeles Times Book Review, Religion News Service, Christianity Today, National Review, and Ancient Faith Radio. (She also spent a year as consultant to Veggie Tales.) She has been interviewed by news media over 830 times. She has given talks at many conferences, colleges, and churches--over 630 events so far. She can type big numbers. Here are a few more: 300, 550, 1060. Didn't even break a sweat. Here's some more: 800, 930, 322. OK, you might want to buy a book now.
