Emanuel Kuntzelman is a lifelong spiritual seeker who has dedicated his life to raising environmental awareness, promoting cultural understanding and advocating for world peace through social action. A philosopher, writer, public speaker and social entrepreneur, Emanuel is the founder and president of the Chicago-based, non-profit organization Greenheart International. Founded in 1985, Greenheart International has built a foundation of cultural understanding across the globe while promoting environmental initiatives, personal and social transformation and fair trade practices through Greenheart’s numerous branches. As a result of Greenheart International’s efforts, each year over ten thousand students and young adults have opened their eyes to new countries and cultures while logging over 50,000 volunteer hours across the globe.
From an early age, Emanuel was awakened to the sense of responsibility we all have to create positive change and help society on its evolutionary path. Believing that travel was an important component to cultural understanding and world peace, Emanuel set off on a spiritual path that led him to the islands of Formentera and Ibiza, Spain, and eventually to Madrid. While living most of his life in Europe, Emanuel has focused much of his recent efforts on social movements taking root in the United States, as well as Europe, founding the Ibiza Spirit Festival in Spain.
Believing in the power of cooperation, Emanuel is currently contributing his efforts on building the growing collective of the Global Purpose Movement, a community of over 50 like-minded organizations collaborating to create a world that works for everyone. He also continues to promote personal development and social transformation through seminars, workshops and events. Enjoying the role of motivational speaker in evolutionary conversations, Emanuel has co-moderated the Institute of Noetic Science 16th International Conference in 2015, and regularly hosts panel discussions as part of ITP International’s Falkirk Series in San Rafael, California. Emanuel also enjoys applying the emerging understanding of new paradigm science to the business world. He is currently collaborating with a wide variety of business initiatives, including his work as founding member of the Conscious World project, in conjunction with systems scientist and philosopher Ervin Laszlo.
Emanuel is also co-founder and president of the Foundation for the Future (Fundacion por el Futuro) based in Madrid, Spain, created to promote cultural understanding and environmental consciousness through the support and creation of educational programs and ecological projects based in Spain.
In addition to his duties related to Greenheart International, the Global Purpose Movement and the Foundation for the Future, Emanuel is also a writer and regularly blogs about his Evolutionary Wave Theory, our singular moment in time and the importance of moving beyond empathy and into social action to create real change in the world. Emanuel’s debut book, Riding the Wave of Global Purpose, is forthcoming.
