Elliot Harris adds the title of author to his lifelong experience as a serial entrepreneur. In the Feeding Sharks to Lions series, Harris shares his knowledge and experience as he explains how others can follow in his footsteps. His experience with underwritings and benefits plan structure encompass his entire career’s experience with benefits plans, equity investments, and liquidity events span his entire career. “My practice focuses on providing growing businesses with tools, resources and strategies to maximize their potential. We have prepared many companies for equity from seed state to monetization. We help create liquidity and retain assets.” Our founders enduring values of giving back are evident in our business model. A portion of all revenue is donated The Harris Family Foundation to benefit children's charities throughout the world. Harris participated in over $10 billion of underwritings over the past 2 decades, when he worked on Wall Street. Throughout that time, he collaborated with owners and executives of growing businesses along with their advisors to develop sound business and strategic plans focused on maximizing and streamlining companies’ potential. During his career, Elliot has been the Managing Director of the Entertainment Industry Group at Ladenburg Thalmann. He was partner and principal of The Wilshinsky Group at Smith Barney, as well as providing Professional Planning Services within Axa-Equitable. Currently, Harris has a large portfolio of seed stage companies where he is both an investor and advisor. His experience with internet companies spans his career and he was a key advisor for the sale of numerous concerns. He is a founding advisor and board member of Frandme. He is a participating lecturer at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) and a finalist judge for the FAU Tech Runway Business plan competition. He has lectured to the NYSSCPA for Continuing Education on Behavioral Finance as well as being a visiting lecturer at the School of Business at SUNY Albany. Harris has judged countless “Shark Tanks” throughout the country and is in high demand as a public speaker. He is a partner in Odyssey Hospitality who provides full logistics, staffing and security for private events, festivals and concerts. He also works with Live Nation VIP experiences providing logistics and security. Harris co-founded Global Music Branding and has consulted on numerous projects with recording artists and producers resulting in over 85 charted billboard hits including 13 number ones and 6 Grammy’s. Currently, he is a partner in Dos Banditos Records providing original music to advertising, movies, television and online. Elliot has consulted to numerous nightclubs and restaurants throughout the United States and Europe and has successfully assisted with building and selling several franchise concepts.
