Dr. Latasha McIlwaine is a license professional counselor in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. She received her Masters in Counseling and Health Administration at Webster University-Columbia, SC and Doctoral Degree in Counseling Psychology in Education at Argosy University-Sarasota, FL. She's a leading professional clinical provider and clinical supervisor in the Charlotte area. She has worked with several leading hospitals, insurance companies, and LME/MCO's as well as in community counseling settings. She takes a collaborative approach to treatment and integrating psychotherapy to work towards the patient's individual goals and improved behavioral and emotional functioning. Dr. McIlwaine founded Insightful Options, PLLC in 2006 and The Greene-McIlwaine Foundation in 2019 to develop counseling professionals to assist patients with a wide range of needs. Additionally, she's taught and continues to teach as an adjunct professor at several universities as well as starting her family investment company Greene-McIlwaine Properties in 2021. In the past few years, Dr. McIlwaine has directed her focus in other areas with her adult two sons living with their special needs. As a family, they have launched The Greene-McIlwaine Foundation- Nonprofit Organization, Greene-McIlwaine Properties, a Radio Show/PodCast- We Got Options With The Doctor and Son(s) and Dr. McIlwaine has turned her passion for dancing into a business with the addition of DrDreamDancer Studios to focus on the Arts and Movement Therapy by offering art, fitness, meditation, dance, cheer and gymnastic/tumbling classes in her community. This publication is Dr. McIlwaine's first book and Dr. McIlwaine is working on two other books with anticipated release Spring 2024.
