The inspiration for my children's stories and child development narratives occurred over three decades ago. As a young father (one girl and three boys), the minutes between sleep and awake were the perfect moments to create improvisational stories for our children. There was always a cupful of reality and a pinch of naivety built into the imagineering of those children’s nighttime stories. Improvising a story out of thin air each evening was my way of encouraging our children to let their imagination roam freely. 'My Favorite Word in a Bottle' is all about character development. The qualities of; curiosity, resilience, integrity, adventure, creativity, empathy, etc. are timeless and should be shared with all children as they begin to navigate their very own mightily curious life journey. Storytime is the perfect moment to stimulate positive character traits. 'Talking with Mau' is filled with powerful narratives which will help encourage children to think and express their feelings. In childhood, we develop character, and in adulthood, we put that character into practice. Being a teacher, Dr.G views bedtime stories as a vehicle for not only capturing the children’s attention but also molding their character. Dr.G (Gerard Danford) was born in Ireland and has lived in the USA and United Kingdom. Dr.G was an academic for over 25 years and is now enjoying jubilación in Helsinki, Finland.
