Dr. Thompson has spent over two decades in the field of education where he has served as an elementary principal, middle school teacher, high school soccer coach at the varsity and junior varsity levels and as an interim charter high school administrator. Dr. Thompson obtained his Ed.D. in Leadership for the Advancement of Learning and Service from Cardinal Stritch University. He received his Master of Science degree in Educational Psychology, with a focus on Gifted & Talented Education, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He also received his K-12 Principal's Certification from UW-Madison. His Baccalaureate degree was in Elementary Education, with a minor in English Language Arts from UW-Madison as well. A graduate of Milwaukee Public School's Rufus King High School, Dr. Thompson currently serves as chairperson of the Master's of Art in Urban Education program and as an Assistant Professor in The School of Urban Initiatives at Cardinal Stritch University.
