Doug Meyer-Cuno founded Carolina Ingredients, a nationally recognized and award winning industrial seasoning manufacturer based in Rock HIll, SC. Under his leadership, Doug led the company's growth into several industrial food markets becoming one of the premier privately owned seasoning manufacturers. Carolina Ingredients became the first LEED Sustainable seaoning manufacturing plant in the country. Solar Energy supplies alternative fuel for the production facility. In 2011, Carolina Ingredients became a finalist for South Carolina's Small Business of the Year Award. In March of 2019, Mitsubishi, completed their acquistion of Carolina Ingredients as a strategic platform for their expansion into the North American market. Carolina Ingredients became the first privatley owned company to be purchased by the Japanese conglomerate. Doug has also founder Compaction International, DMC Enterpriises LLC, and Merisal. Recently, Doug created Empowered Leadership which helps entrepreneurs, business owners, and CEOs scale their companies by empowering their teams, allowing them to work ON their company rather than IN them. Doug has a distinguished history of community service: Chairman of York County Economic Development Board, South Carolina Ambassador for Economic Development, Member of the Clover/Lake Wylie YMCA Board, Chairman of Gaston Day School, Member of Yadkin Bank's Community Board of Directors, Chairman of the Council for his local church.
