Deepa Patel first started cooking at the age of 12. After school each day, she prepared meals for her aging parents. The earliest recipes she learned were simple since her parents were on a restricted diet for health reasons. She first discovered a flare for flavorful, spicy cuisine after she got married and migrated to the United States. Still, her exposure to authentic multicultural cuisine didn’t begin until after her divorce. Since that time, Deepa has pursued her passion for preparing delicious and nutritious food. With the advent of climate change, Deepa has grown concerned about sustainability and has made many changes in her lifestyle, resulting in a reduced carbon footprint. While planting more trees has been proven to revive forests, regenerative and sustainable farming also plays a role in ecological balance. In terms of personal balance, a plant-based diet improves a person’s mental and physical health and provides just as many nutrients as a meat-based diet. Deepa Patel, founder of esfera impact is passionate about food and agriculture, is a driving force in his professional journey. Leveraging her business and consulting background, she guides clients to improve day-to-day operations with management practices that improve soil health, increase biodiversity, create sustainable systems, and build a greener future. Regenerative organic agriculture practices are crucial to addressing ecological health, economic viability, and food waste. Deepa focuses on helping micro vineyards adopt these practices. This approach benefits the environment and ensures financial sustainability for the farmers, providing a sense of reassurance and confidence in their business.
