David was born and raised in Westlake Village, CA and attended college at California State University Northridge and earned his bachelor’s degree in Speech Communications. Out of college, David went into the corporate world in sales and marketing and had some success but felt unfilled at the prospect of coming into work and facing a cubicle every day. At the time, he was in a relationship that ended badly, spent all his money, quit his job and was homeless and penniless, sleeping on a mattress in his best friend’s dining room in his apartment. David knew he needed a change and to set his life in a different direction asap. One night out, a friend of his had just started a job working for a special events company in LA. They were looking for a DJ and emcee to host corporate events. Being a DJ in college, David seized this opportunity to start his first business, a DJ/ Entertainment and Special Events company from that dining room floor. He grew the business for 10 years before selling it and moving to Nicaragua with his now wife, Luna. They enjoyed what David calls his 3 S’s – learning to surf, Spanish and Salsa Dance on white sand beaches. But then everything changed on Feb 15, 2008. Luna and David were kidnapped at gunpoint and David was stabbed while they were being held hostage. After making it out of this situation and back to the US, David took this second chance at life and dedicated himself to helping others. He had co-founded a charity to help build girls’ schools in Africa. He also became a certified business coach and was a Business Results Coach and Seminar Leader for Tony Robbins. He has conducted over 3,500 one on one coaching sessions and trained over a million businesses and individuals from around the world through his online programs, live seminars and coaching programs. David is excited to continue to promote, “treating each other like rockstars” with kindness and caring. He teaches business owners and individuals how to do this in his number one best-selling book, Rockstar Service, Rockstar Profits. David believes that we can all make a difference in creating a positive ripple effect for the world through our businesses one customer at a time. From his small business clients to his Fortune 500 clients like LinkedIn, Harley Davidson and others, his mission is to transform 100 million lives through his products, services and inspirational speeches. He currently lives with his wife and two children in San Diego, CA.
