I’m a former detective from London, England and I write crime thrillers based in the UK. I left the police five years ago and decided to pursue a career in crime fiction rather than crime fact. So far, it's been bloody murder. My series features Sarah Gladstone, a young police officer at the start of her police career. I'd read plenty of crime fiction tales about aging, bitter detectives getting on for retirement and, as great as those stories are, I wanted to do something a little different. I wondered if there was space in the genre for a character with a fresh perspective, and I figured the best way to find out was to create one. When I'm not writing, I enjoy being gripped by an overwhelming sense of foreboding and crippling self-doubt about my creative career. I'm kidding. I like movies and long walks on the beach.
