Darline Joseph Marianathan is a practising Counselling Psychologist and Psychotherapist. His Doctorate (DCPsych) at Metanoia Institute/Middlesex University) has a dual qualifications. After the successful completion of his first doctoral Psychotherapy training, he is perusing his second doctoral thesis and viva for Counselling/Clinical Psychology at present. He also holds master's degrees from British Universities: MSc Psychology of Education (BPS) from Bristol University and MSc Psychology from Exeter University. Darline holds membership with various national and international professional bodies including BPS (British Psychological Society), UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy) and BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). In India Darline was awarded an MSc in Psychology where he also gained three bachelor's degrees in economics, theology, and philosophy. He has written in English over 100 short articles in the newspapers on a variety of contextual themes concerning national and global issues. In addition, he has also written three books in English and several books on neuropsychology and poetry in the Tamil language. Darline is a guest speaker in number of educational institutions around the world. He delivers lectures, runs seminars and gives motivational speeches to divers groups including businesses people, bureaucrats, politicians, families, teachers, clergy and the religious people. Along with his writing and publishing, he has a busy Private Practice. He has a wide range of clinical experiences both in NHS (National Health Service) as well as other settings. Darline has successful track record of clinical work dealing with complex and enduring mental health issues including addictive behaviour, alcohol abuse, child safeguarding issues, personality disorder, sexual abuse, self-harm, suicidal ideation, relationship issues, marital problems, personality disorder, depression, anxiety, cognitive deficit, and sexual dysfunction.
