Fortress Press published "Confident Humility: Becoming Your Full Self Without Becoming Full of Yourself" in June of 2019. I am beyond thrilled by the impact this book has had on so many readers. In college I fell in love with "The Screwtape Letters" by C.S. Lewis. My series, "The Training of KX12" (volumes 1 & 2), echoes the Screwtape format, sharing letters from a demon in hell, named Proktos Pew, who tries to corrupt Chase Russel Myers. Though the letters in the books are from demons, the the book really focuses on human nature—in particular, what causes humans to fail or succeed spiritually. The series has been a surprise hit, and Volume 3 is on the way. Life overflows with suffering and evil, and yet the Bible calls us to seek God and, in finding God, our hearts will overflow with joy. My poetry tries to document this profound paradox: joy in a life full of suffering, seeking God like a treasure in a world full of fool's gold. My two collections include "Diamonds Mixed with Broken Glass" and "The Fundamentals of Skywriting." I now serve as a Teaching Pastor at Woodland Hills Church in Maplewood Minnesota, and also share teachings at The Refuge on Thursday evenings here in Maplewood. I host the wildly popular podcast "Greg Boyd: Apologies & Explanations." I'm also the editor-in-chief for ReKnew.org and teach at Bethel University as an adjunct whenever they let me. I live with my wife Barbara in Maplewood Minnesota. We have a dog named Ellie. Look me up next time you come through Minnesota and we'll fix you some pancakes with maple syrup tapped from our maple trees.
