Dan Garmen spent several decades on the radio and TV as a DJ, talk show host, and presenter. His first novel, “Time Flying,” was published in 2012. On the Kindle platform, he is the author of “Cop Shows: From Dragnet to NCIS,” a look at the development of TV’s police procedural genre, an analysis of Artificial Intelligence’s development with “Synthetic Minds: What Battlestar Galactica Teach Us About AI,” and a report on the controversial website that predicted Western countries’ population decline in “The 2025 Deagel Report: Understanding a Grim Future.” He also wrote a short historical and cultural look at the hit musical "Hamilton" and is set to publish a sequel to “Cop Shows.” Look for “Cop Shows: The Great Ones,” an in-depth examination of ten of the top police dramas that shaped the genre.
