For more than 45 years, Charlie Howell has implemented technology in a variety of industries, including aviation, resort and hospitality, title insurance, batch solutions manufacturing, and workforce development. Charlie has also created and operated an independent computer consulting and programming firm. Charlie has served as IT Director, CIO, and Vice President of CareerSource Flagler Volusia. While there, he led the transformation from live workshops to interactive online workshops, converted the company from local storage and computing to cloud-based services and storage, and implemented an intensive cybersecurity enterprise. Through his leadership in the development of online learning, CareerSource Flagler Volusia was selected by the US Department of Labor for their research study on technology-based learning within the American Job Centers. Currently, he is part of a transformation team that is consolidating two workforce development boards. He is also writing non-fiction books to help others in leadership training and creating winning workshops for conventions and summits. He is involved in entrepreneurial initiatives, teaching entrepreneurial mindset and volunteering as a 1 Million Cups organizer. He lives in Port Orange, Florida with his wife of 38 years, enjoys traveling, camping and scuba diving.
