Cecil Jenkins, Jr. was born in a small rural southern town, he graduated from high school at seventeen. In high school, he won several science awards and was later offered a scholarship to a medical school. Instead of becoming a doctor, he moved to the Midwest and lived with one of his sisters. After missing an opportunity to receive a medical scholarship in high school, later to lead a Karate studio or becoming a Secret Service Agent while living in the Midwest, he accepted a job with a public school district’s safety and security department. His education and studies include several institutions: Harris-Stowe State University in Saint Louis, Missouri, Saint Louis University, Saint Louis Community College, and Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He currently lives in the St. Louis, Missouri area with his wife of 42 years, Gloria. Cecil has two adult children and six grandchildren. After working 32 years in public safety and security in the St. Louis, Missouri area, he is retired.
