CK (Kas) Sobey continues a life of rich curiosity. She retired from her professional businesses to spend more time reimagining. CK lives in the Valley Forge area of Pennsylvania, creating in her kitchen or following an idea that has caught her attention. The ideas are always present. Most of her time is spent in her studio, filtering through the ideas that have caught her attention, and stays occupied nourishing and birthing the idea from that point on with assistance from her muses Her current book, A Collection of Tiny Stories, Diminutive Tales from the Tip of My Imagination (June 2022) also contains several unique layered images. She is the author of a book of poetic prose and photography, Musings, Woolgathering, & Ghosts, which is also on audio. Her first book is entitled Henry the Turtle. A young children’s book for all ages! Her newest book; Outpourings, Volume ll Musings, Woolgathering, & Ghosts. will be ready to order on October 25, 2023! CK’s writing has been featured in The Reflectionary, Publishers Weekly, Readers Views/inside Scoop, and The Midwest Review, 101 Words. She continues cooking, doodling, walking, and listening to new ideas for her next book. I am having fun still seeking what is hiding. As Sherlock Holmes would say, “The game is afoot!” The easy way out might be to say, “I am retired.” But I’m not. Recalibrating fits better. Reimagining my life is even better. My friend says I am in my “sage years.” I am richer for my life and all it has brought me, taught me, moving along on my Soul’s Journey. The creative process is mystifying. I am doing my best to follow where inspiration takes me. It can move pretty fast. As I write this, we are still in the midst of COVID-19.
