⬆CLICK TO FOLLOW CJ KLINGER⬆ Hey there! My name is C.J. "Chuck" Klinger and I write for the love of storytelling. My art and writing studio is located in the pine forest around Bastrop, Texas, thirty miles east of Austin. I had the good fortune to live throughout the US in my career as a corporate gypsy. It gave me a perspective on America and Americans that has greatly influenced my writing. When I settled down to write, I had a thousand experiences I wanted to share. My stories are character-driven. In the first 10,000 words, I work hard to create the stage and to get to know the story’s characters in my mind. After that, the characters take over and write the story. Many times when I start to write a dialogue for one of my characters, I'm not sure exactly what that character is going to say. The endings are sometimes as much a surprise to me as they are to the reader. It sounds silly and maybe a little improbable, but its true and makes writing an exciting prospect. You'll discover I write in a variety of genres, from murder mysteries to a science fiction series. Some of my favorite stories involve taking a true incident from history (recent and old) and creating a story in the present based on that incident.
