A consummate entrepreneur, Billy Ryan has launched his own successful businesses and become President at Town and Country Homes in Chicago, overseeing 4 division presidents and 250 employees. His achievements and thoughtful self-reflection make him one of the most fascinating business voices today. With a career spanning 50 years, he has successfully navigated 4 recessions, including some of the largest housing busts in the history of America. His success principles are forged from these hard times and captured in his new book “Fix Your Why.” A native to the Chicago area, Billy moved from Southern California in 2019 to join Kolter Homes as their Palm Beach County Vice President. He founded two real estate development companies: The Roslin Group, which focused on designing and building mixed-use communities in the Midwest; and Wyndham Development Group, which built residential properties in Chicago’s northwest suburbs. After years of success growing and developing startup companies, Billy returned to the family business, Town & Country Homes, where he started his real estate career. Under Billy’s leadership, Town & Country tripled home sales in three years, significantly improved profits, and unseated the market’s #1 homebuilder, which had more than twice the number of communities as Town & Country. This success led to the company becoming the first production homebuilder in Disney’s new town development, Celebration. A graduate of Notre Dame, Billy was included in the Crain’s Chicago Business “40 Under 40” list in 1992 and in 1998 was named as a Legend in Residential Marketing by the National Association of Home Builders National Sales.
