Basil Eliades has taught just about everything just about everywhere. He believes that there is no difference between art and literature, or cooking and martial arts. Which may explain why his writing is passionate but illegible, and why he leaves such a phenomenal mess in the kitchen... Basil (b 1966, Australia) is more interested in a sweeping curve of energy than its apparent container. He is more excited by flavour than texture, and prefers the quality of light to the quantity - although, as he says, "there's nothing wrong with excess."
