Ayesha Harruna Attah is the author of Harmattan Rain, nominated for the 2010 Commonwealth Writers’ Prize, Saturday's Shadows, and The Hundred Wells of Salaga, translated into Dutch, French, German, and Italian. Her book for teen readers, The Deep Blue Between, was released in October 2020. Her first romance novel, Zainab Takes New York, will be released in audio and e-book in August 2021 and in paperback in April 2022. Ayesha was born in Accra and educated at Mount Holyoke College, Columbia University, and NYU. A 2015 Africa Centre Artists in Residency Award Laureate and Sacatar Fellow, she won the 2016 Miles Morland Foundation Scholarship for non-fiction. She currently lives in Senegal and loves making ice-cream and staring at the ocean.
