Antje Döhring was born in Germany. After completing her diploma in Journalism and working as a press spokeswoman, she lived in Saudi Arabia, India, Libya and the United Arab Emirates for a significant period of time. Her stay abroad was peppered with rich and diverse experiences. From writing regular newspaper columns as a reporter, to working in a library, to importing wine and cheese and working as an employee of the Austrian Foreign Trade Centre to becoming a language teacher. Antje has two children and lives in Germany again. ‘Weniger' (2016) was her first young adult novel, available in English under the name ‘Featherlight’. The novel "Abendblau" was published in 2022.
