Andrew Crofts is an author and ghostwriter who has published more than a hundred books, many of which have become international bestsellers. At one stage he had four books in the Sunday Times bestseller list simultaneously. He has ghosted for a wide range of subjects, from heads of state to a survivor of the Rwandan genocide, a child bride in the Yemen, a bonded labourer in Pakistan and a refugee from South Sudan, plus winners of reality TV shows, pop stars, hairdressers, spies and sex workers. He has published a number of novels, including “On the Backs of Others”, about the dark secrets lurking beneath the surface of an idyllic English village, “What Lies Around Us”, about a crime family that gets into the White House, “Secrets of the Italian Gardener”, set in the palace of a Middle Eastern dictator during a revolution, and “The Overnight Fame of Steffi McBride”, about the perils of instant fame. His books on writing include “Confessions of a Ghostwriter”, “Ghostwriting”, and “The Freelance Writer’s Handbook”, which has been reprinted eight times over twenty years.
