My name is Aileen Joy, I’ve enjoyed art my entire life, from the little cartoons my parents drew me as a child, to later admiring many other talented artists. I am from Alaska and attended college in Washington where I graduated in 2004 with a degree in graphic design. In 2007 I started my business Ai Candi where I begin with design, but later I swayed mostly into creating art and writing. My experience behind graphics and print ended up being the perfect mix to be able to create my own books. I returned home to Alaska where the natural environments and simple life continue to inspire me. As the world gets more busy I strive to keep a transparent yet enriched outlook about the world, while bringing the little things and simple ideas to the forefront of my stories.
