Aashi Gurijala studied neuroscience and creative writing at Vanderbilt University along the pre MD/PhD track. She previously self-published the science fiction series Birth and Rebirth on Amazon KDP while only in high school. She was an award-winning freelance writer in her undergraduate studies before committing to Nakshatra, her debut series exploring the intersections of Hindu mythology with modern concepts of love and heroism. Her interest in writing stems from experience communicating scientific work and understanding the importance of humanities in exploring narratives of innovation. She is committed to continuing her series throughout her graduate studies and beyond, expanding a universe that she has iteratively elevated for many years.
