As a young girl, I wrote a little from time to time. My first published piece was a poem. It was compiled into a book called 'Caress of the Moon'. I have no idea what it was about. I hit teenage years and my passion went from writing to important things such as boys and acting. I was destined to be the next Julia Roberts. I had a few other poems published in high school and that was all for my writing career. After high school I continued to focus on acting and boys. I didn't write much. Then a few years ago, I had a vivid dream. It was a cartoon dream featuring children that were half human and half sea creature. I woke up the next morning and thought, "I could write a book about this". And so I began to write. I am now married and a mum to a beautiful two year old girl. I want to lead by example. I want to demonstrate to her that if you have a dream - pardon the pun - you should believe in it and pursue it. So far, one of the most enjoyable experiences has been reading my book to primary school children. I love engaging with them. I love hearing their responses and laughter. And I love being silly whilst narrating all the characters. I guess all those years of acting paid off after all. The positive feedback from the school readings then propelled me into producing 'The Naughty Kids' audio book. If you would like to see what school children are saying about 'The Naughty Kids - Adventures at Forbidden Beach', please feel free to watch my book trailer.
