About this listen
Amoral, cunning, ruthless, and instructive, this piercing work distills 3,000 years of the history of power into 48 well-explicated laws. This bold volume outlines the laws of power in their unvarnished essence, synthesizing the philosophies of Machiavelli, Sun Tzu, Carl von Clausewitz, and other infamous strategists. The 48 Laws of Power will fascinate any listener interested in gaining, observing, or defending against ultimate control.

The two horses
Two horses were carrying two loads. The front horse went well, but the rear horse was lazy. The men began to pile the rear horse's load on the front horse; when they had transferred it all, the rear horse found it easy going, and he said to the front horse: "Toil and sweat! The more you try, the more you have to suffer." When they reached the tavern, the owner said; "Why should I fodder two horses when I carry all on one? I had better give the one all food it wants, and cut the throat of the other; at least I shall have the hide." And so he did.

Real information
This book says things how they are. Unlike other self help books that say nice things but mean nothing, this book has real substance with references to back up every point and counter point it makes. You must however be intelligent to understand this book. It is not for the stupid.

Great book
Well written with great cases for insights. Recommended for anyone and everyone. The 48 law are tools a person can use depending on the context of their lives. Although some of the tools may seems to be in conflict of a person’s character so I recommended to fingerpick the right one to use.

Detailed and backed by history. Interesting study on human behaviour
Long book, no real narrative means it’s best listen to in chapters.
Very interesting however. Recommend for anyone interested in human behaviour

Deception. Deception. Deception.
A great listen if you are an "armchair general".
Historical lessons as well as fables help to highlight each law of power. Overall a masterpiece book that everyone should read if they want to succeed in life.
10/10 would read again.

Highly recommend
Excellent summaries of the forces of power. some stories are abstract and hard to follow, but overall helpful at articulating the key points. the reversals of each law (or not) also help with the counterfactual. highly recommend.

Common knowledge
This is rudimentary and the bare minimum for any person, if you haven’t learnt this from trail and error experiences then your just a primal idiot.
