Welcome to Olli's undersea world

Olli, the curious little octopus, lives in the ocean. He explores his watery world and makes many friends that way. He goes to school with a group of guppies, and all think it is really cool. Their teacher is a mermaid. She is King Neptune's daughter. On her birthday, there is a big celebration, and all are invited. When they meet a scary shark, Olli learns that he has something in his body that helps them escape. Follow up with books two and three to listen to more of Olli's adventures, alone or with his friends and teacher.

The adventures of Olli and his friends continue. Going alone, he meets a seahorse and a turtle and learns about their life in the ocean. With his guppy friends, he has a fun silly day. On their field trip into the dark abyss, they discover something exciting, finding out about humans which they never saw before, and then get to meet some of them.

When Olli meets Dorado, he finds out that not everyone speaks the same language. One of their teacher's great concerns is the trash humans leave behind at the beach, and they all want to do something about it. Find out their plan to solve that problem and how you can help to keep the oceans clean.

East Prussia, now Poland, is where I was born. In 1945, my family fled to the west of Germany. I went to school there and became a kindergarten teacher. In 1964, I immigrated to the United States, eventually becoming a Montessori teacher in Wisconsin, where I worked for many years. Reading to children, I learned that one of their favorite subjects was animals.
